Students Learn About Careers in Manufacturing

Today more than 150 students from Kennesaw Mountain High School and Pine Mountain Middle School toured Win-Tech, a local precision machine shop, in celebration of Manufacturing Day. Students toured the plant and learned about the excellent career opportunities available in the manufacturing sector.


Congressman Barry Loudermilk, at right, during a tour of Win-Tech, a veteran-owned precision machine shop in Kennesaw that supports customers such as Lockheed Martin and Boeing. Win-Tech opened its doors to more than 150 students in honor of Manufacturing Day.

Congressman Barry Loudermilk, who represents Georgia’s 11th Congressional District, also toured the facility and spoke on the importance of manufacturing to the US economy. Representatives from Chattahoochee Technical College and Georgia Tech were on hand with information about career pathways and training.
