South Cobb High School hosted the first annual Young Women’s Conference March 19-20! More than 150 students were in attendance for both days of the conference, which focused on the theme “The Woman I CHOOSE to Be.” The event was filled with guest speakers, breakout sessions, giveaways and motivation for young women across Cobb, including students from Floyd Middle, Campbell High, Kennesaw Mountain High and Pebblebrook High schools!

Ms. Deane Bonner, president of the Cobb chapter of the NAACP was the opening keynote speaker. State Rep. Alisha Thomas-Morgan provided the closing address. Both dynamic speakers engaged, motivated, and encouraged participants. On Saturday, students had the opportunity to ask questions to a panel of professional women, including Sanders Intermediate School principal Pamela Dingle.

The ladies were served a catered lunch by the young men of the SCHS Flying A.C.E.S. club.
