The We Can! national campaign for children’s wellness recently included Green Acres Elementary in its Community Spotlight. The article’s focus is on a visit from former US National Soccer Team member Tab Ramos to the school in November, 2009. We Can! (Ways to Enhance Children’s Activity & Nutrition) is a national movement designed to give parents, caregivers, and entire communities a way to help children 8 to 13 years old stay at a healthy weight. The campaign is a collaborative effort by the National Institutes of Health.
