Tritt Elementary School Recognized with STEM Education Award

The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) and the TAG Education Collaborative (TAG-Ed) announced that Tritt Elementary School is the elementary school-level winner of a STEM Education Award.

The award recognizes and celebrates schools, programs, and companies for outstanding efforts and achievement in supporting and promoting science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education in Georgia. More than 150 members of the technology and education community were on hand at the sixth annual STEM Education awards ceremony in November 2017 where the winners were announced.

“According to Georgia Department of Labor projections, Georgia will need to fill more than 79,000 STEM jobs through 2020,” said Larry Williams, president of TAG. “Our 2017 STEM Education Award winners and finalists are helping Georgia meet the future demands of our innovation economy, and we are proud to recognize their good work.”

Tritt Elementary earned AdvancED STEM Certification in 2016 and was part of a Cobb County School District STEM education tour for Project Lead the Way in 2017.
