It is often said that it takes a village to raise a child. Sometimes that means community organizations coming forward to donate supplies to help students succeed in school.

Zep is one of those organizations. Zep employees collected school supplies for students at Bryant Elementary School and a few employees along with the company’s CEO Lou Purvis and Chief Administrative Officer Rob Novo recently hand-delivered the heavy boxes filled with donations to Bryant.

“Our primary goal is to ensure our scholars are engaged in the learning environment. If scholars do not have their basic needs met or are worried about not having the supplies they need, focusing becomes a challenge. With the support of the Zep organization, we are able to make sure several scholars can indeed be focused on learning, and we are extremely grateful for this donation,” said Dr. Timeka Cline, Bryant principal.

After turning over the donations to Dr. Cline, the Zep leaders took a tour of the school to learn more about the Bryant scholars. They peeked into classrooms and the media center and chatted with one of the Bryant parent volunteer leaders who could explain more about the community school.

Zep, which is a leading innovator, producer, and distributor of maintenance and cleaning solutions, plans to stay updated on the Bryant scholars to see how the Zep team may be able to help in the future.
