The LGE Community Credit Union not only supports teachers and staff in the Cobb County School District, but they also contribute to the success of Cobb students with programs, like annual scholarships.
LGE recently awarded a $5,000 scholarship to Pope High School student Maayan Lantzman for her community service work.
LGE described Maayan’s scholarship application as “inspirational.”
“I am personally motivated to do whatever I can to improve the standard of living of our community and to help people develop skills that can better serve them later in life,” Maayan said in her application. “The main goal is to get as many people as possible to help by increasing awareness about disparities in certain groups and environments.”
One way the Pope senior did that is by teaching third graders about the environment and how to sustain it.
According to the LGE scholarship announcement, Maayan’s self-motivation, vision, and dedication to the community was impactful and exemplified the LGE philosophy of ‘people helping people.’”
LGE Community Credit Union is a strategic partner of the Cobb County School District and offers a variety of products, services, and incentives for Cobb employees.
One way that LGE supports local schools is by offering spirit cards. Each high school or district will receive a portion of the revenue earned from the interchange income of each card swipe when used as a signature-based transaction. Each transaction means more money that goes back into the pockets of each school! The new card designs are available for debit cards as well as credit cards. To learn more, go here.
