Cobb Schools Board Member Q&A: Charisse Davis, Post 6

Question: How long have you been on the school board? 

Answer: I began serving on the school board in January 2019.” 

Question: How long have you lived in Cobb County? 

Answer: “I have lived in Cobb County for 8 years.” 

Question: Superintendent Ragsdale often says Cobb is the best place to teach, lead, and learn. What  impresses you the most about our team?  

Answer: “I have been so impressed with all of the Cobb team members, and not just those in the classroom, who take the time to really get to know and care about students and encourage them to be the best they can be.”  

Question: What are you looking forward to in the 2019-2020 school year?  

Answer: “I am looking forward to engaging even more with the Post 6 community, through PTA meetings, sporting events, and other school programs.”    

Question: What was your favorite memory from the 2018-2019 school year?  

Answer: “My favorite memories from the 2018-2019 year include whenever I got to spend time with students – whether it’s a Career Day, Read Across Cobb, or a storytime, it is the highlight of my time as a board member.  It’s always really cute when students ‘recognize’ me as a board member and greet me with a ‘Hello Charisse Davis!’”
