The Georgia School Public Relations Association (GSPRA) recently announced the 2019 award winners and the Cobb Schools Communications Department took home nine awards including two for Best in Category.
Each year, GSPRA recognizes school public relations professionals throughout Georgia who demonstrate exceptional communication skills by producing outstanding publications, photography, and electronic media.
Cobb’s Communications Department won Best in Category for Clarkdale Elementary School’s Brand Identity Package, which included a redesigned logo, mascot, and signage. The Communications and Technology team also took home the top award for Website Design winning Best in Category for CobbMetrics.com, which explains how Cobb transforms student assessment in Cobb by giving teachers more information about their students on a daily basis.
In addition to the Best in Category awards, the Communications Department also won Gold awards for crisis communications, social media, and the Inside Scoop Podcast, specifically “Supporting Your Student with Autism, Dyslexia or a Disability.”
Cobb also won silver awards for the “This is South Cobb” video and “The Dance of the Year” in both the Excellence in Writing and Photography categories. The District’s “Here Comes the Bus” marketing campaign won bronze recognition.
Earlier in 2019, the Cobb Schools Communications Department won national and international awards for their success highlighting the work and success of the school community.
