Cobb’s three top teachers will roll up to school this year with a new set of wheels thanks to one of the district’s community partners.
Ed Voyles Automotive Group handed over the keys to the new cars to say thank for the educators’ commitment to students. Cobb’s Teachers of the Year picked out the new cars that they will drive for the next year at no cost.
Cobb’s number one teacher—Cindy Wadsworth—will get to keep the car at the end of her reign as the District Teacher of the Year if she wins the title of Georgia Teacher of the Year.
Over the next year, Wadsworth’s students can keep an eye out for her shiny red Genesis G70. Casey Taylor, Cobb’s Middle School Level Teacher of the Year, will cruise to Pine Mountain Middle School in her new Kia Sorento, and Cobb’s High School Level Teacher of the Year, Hilary Minich, will be able to haul all her teaching gear in her new Chrysler Pacifica.
The annual car event tops off the fall celebration of Cobb’s Teachers of the Years, which included Superintendent Chris Ragsdale’s surprise announcements at their schools, the handprint ceremony on Marietta Square, and the Pep Rally of the Year.
The main celebrations may be over, but the community can still tell the Teachers of the Year, “thank you.” In fact, share the thank you messages with all the educators who serve Cobb students every day. They are the reason Cobb is the best place to learn.
