Linda B Keeney Scholarship Award to King Springs Elementary Alum

This year, the King Springs Elementary School Foundation Scholarship given in honor of Linda B. Keeney was awarded to Mason Stockton. Mason attended King Springs from 2008-2013 and graduated from Campbell High School in May 2020.

Mason will use the $2,000 scholarship to attend the University of Georgia in the fall to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

For three years, the King Springs Foundation has awarded the scholarship to a school alum in honor of the school’s former principal, Linda Keeney. The scholarship serves as a recognition of Principal Keeney’s contributions to King Springs until her retirement in 2017.

“Make good choices. Do the right thing and have a great day at King Springs!” Those are the inspiring words Principal Keeney said to students every morning at King Springs. The Foundation aims to continue the legacy of that advice through the annual scholarship.
