It is a day that they have worked toward their entire school career. It is the day that marks the pinnacle of their student success. It is a day they had to wait for a little longer than those who walked before them. July 13 was the day Osborne High School’s Class of 2020 finally was able to put on their caps and gowns and turn their tassels at the school’s official in-person graduation ceremony.
Osborne High School kicked off Cobb Schools two weeks of commencement ceremonies, which will all be held at Cantrell Stadium on the campus of McEachern High School. The District followed the guidance of local public health officials when coordinating the Osborne ceremony to ensure the health and safety of all graduates, guests, and staff.
The Osborne ceremony was also streamed live to accommodate family and friends who were unable to attend. For those who missed it, the ceremony is available to watch below.
“I truly believe the adversity that you have faced will only make you stronger. As you enter into life, you will face adversity again. I have, your parents have, your relatives have, any adult you see has faced adversity. When you get knocked down you get back up again. I couldn’t be prouder and look forward to hearing about your successes as I know I will. You are prepared and are ready for that next challenge in life,” Principal Joshua Morreale told Osborne’s Class of 2020.
