Still Elementary Student Promotes Environmental Awareness As Superhero ‘Earth Saver Girl’

Still Elementary student Brooklyn Wright may be a mild-mannered 8 year-old by day, but regularly dons her bright green and blue costume to become the planet-saving superhero Earth Saver Girl! earthsavergirl_02
Passionate about protecting the environment and ‘going green,’ Brooklyn is author of her own book, The Adventures of Earth Saver Girl and spends time presenting her message to her peers in local elementary schools. During her visits, ‘Earth Saver Girl’ reads portions of her book, talks about how kids can do their part to take care of the planet and plays fun games with her fellow students.

Brooklyn’s work has earned attention and awards from a variety of sources. She is recipient of the Captain Planet Foundation’s 2010 Eco Super Hero award, an international award from Action for Nature and a national honor from Keep America Beautiful! Her picture is also in Kohl’s stores nationwide, as scholarship winner from the Kohl’s Kids Who Care promotion. In April 2011, all 74 Cobb elementary schools used Brooklyn’s book as part of Earth Day curriculum.

Her Website gets more than 45,000 visits per week and features interactive learning games and quizzes. Visit the Earth Saver Girl Website for more information about Brooklyn, her mission and upcoming appearances!
