Harrison Lady Hoyas Host “Dig For the Cure” Volleyball Tournament; Raise $8457 for Breast Cancer Research

Congratulations to the Harrison High School Lady Hoyas volleyball program, whose three-week “Dig for the Cure” tournament raised $8457 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation in support of breast cancer research. Harrison hosted squads from McEachern and Lassiter, challenging their rivals to help reach their goal of $6000 in donations.

Players played in honor or in memory of someone fighting breast cancer and raised money in a variety of ways, from collecting spare change to bagging groceries for donations at Kroger, to selling pink ribbons at school. Kudos to the Lady Hoyas and head coach Clay Taylor, as well as the teams from McEachern and Lassiter, for exceeding their charity goal and having fun for a great cause.
