Cobb Bus Driver Angie Woodie Named Children’s Choice School Bus Driver of the Year

Congratulations to bus driver Angie Woodie, who was named Children’s Choice School Bus Driver of the Year by Thomas Built Buses. Woodie was nominated for the award by one of her student passengers, Keirra M. Keirra submitted a 90-word essay on why her bus driver should win the award.

Angie Woodie will receive a $1,000 gift card and Thomas Built apparel for the honor, while submitting student Keirra will receive a $1,000 educational savings bond and a laptop computer. The Thomas Built Buses Children’s Choice School Bus Driver of the Year program is in its second year, providing kindergarten through sixth grade students with a chance to use their writing skills to honor their bus driver.

Ms. Woodie has been driving Cobb school buses for 13 years, safely transporting students to and from Acworth Intermediate, Barber Middle and North Cobb High schools. Kudos to her and to Keirra for nominating her!
