The Osborne High School JROTC unit will be among the participating groups at the 2012 Pass In Review.
Cadets in the JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps) programs at Cobb County and Marietta City schools will take part in a Military Pass In Review Thursday, April 19 at 6:15 p.m. at the Campbell High School stadium. The entire Cobb community is invited to join in this formal inspection and parade, a showcase for Cobb’s outstanding JROTC cadets that promotes patriotism and pride in the U.S. armed forces. Guest speakers at the event include Cobb superintendent Dr. Michael Hinojosa, Marietta City Schools superintendent Dr. Emily Lembeck and former Cobb superintendent LtGen Joseph Redden.
JROTC programs have existed in the United States for nearly a century, developing cadets into tomorrow’s leaders through studies of ethics, citizenship, communications, leadership, and life skills. The programs also provide cadets interested in military careers with opportunities for advanced promotion upon enlistment.
The last Pass In Review for Cobb County’s JROTC programs took place in 2004. The event is free to the public and dress is casual for attendees. Campbell High School is located at 5265 Ward St SE, Smyrna, GA 30080.
