Osborne High JROTC Team Attends Leadership Symposium

• A team of four Osborne High School JROTC cadets were among an elite group of students selected to attend the third annual George C. Marshall Junior ROTC Leadership Symposium in Lexington, VA last month. Only 36 teams nationwide were chosen to attend the event, which took placeon the campuses of Virginia Military Institute and Washington and Lee University.

The symposium offered the Osborne team an opportunity to hear presentations on leadership and earn one college credit hour in leadership and community service. Osborne’s team consists of (pictured above, left to right): Cadet Captain Ashontti Washington, Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Karen Palacios, Cadet Command Sergeant Major Adan Hernandez and Cadet Captain Kanisha Fuqua. The cadets are joined in the photo by Major General Montague Winfield, the Commanding General of the United States Army Cadet Command.
