The soon-to-open Allatoona High School now has a mascot, colors and logo. The Allatoona Buccaneers will don red and black for their colors and are represented by an ‘A’ with a sword as its crossbar. The name, colors and logo were chosen by the ‘Allatoona Ambassadors,’ student representatives from Allatoona’s feeder middle schools, Awtrey, Durham and McClure and the high schools it will relieve, North Cobb and Harrison. Some of the Ambassadors from McClure Middle are pictured above with principal Scott Bursmith.
Future students and their parents can get more information about Allatoona High at the school’s next ‘Coffee Talk’ forum on Monday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. in Harrison High School’s cafeteria. Mr. Bursmith will answer questions and exchange ideas with community members. Call or e-mail Jennifer Cappelen to RSVP at 770.429.5841 for more information.
