Global Handwashing Day is Monday, October 15 and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is inviting schools across Georgia to join them in raising awareness about the importance of hand washing. Keeping hands clean through improved hand hygiene is one of the most important steps we can take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others. Many diseases and conditions are spread by not washing hands with soap and clean, running water.
Linda Burns, LPN, school nurse at Birney Elementary collaborated with the school’s science department to create a unique visual reminder for students to make good hygiene a priority.
Help Cobb County schools raise awareness of proper handwashing habits next week for Global Handwashing Day!
