Andrew Milota, tenth grader at Sprayberry High School, has earned the honor of becoming an Eagle Scout, the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America.  A member of Boy Scout Troop 1011, Andrew joined the Boy Scouts as a first grade Tiger at Addison Elementary School.  He has earned a total of 43 merit badges in addition to 1 Eagle Palm, much more noteworthy than the 21 merit badges required for the Eagle rank.

During the summer of 2007, Andrew completed his Eagle Service Project by constructing wooden benches and a stone fit pit at the East Piedmont Road YMCA.  He was able to demonstrate service & leadership garnering money, supplies, expertise and labor to execute the project.  This service project benefits the East Cobb community that uses the fitness trails behind the YMCA.

Andrew is the son of Sheila and Mark Milota of Marietta.
