Harmony-Leland Elementary School was recently chosen by HOSTS Learning as a winner in the organization’s Best Practices Award program. It is one of only 52 schools in the nation to be selected for the honor. HOSTS Learning is a leading provider of classroom and mentoring & intervention solutions that support the teaching process and supplemental mentoring programs for students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
Harmony-Leland submitted a comprehensive, three-part application that involved recommendation from District administrators, teachers, parents, students and mentors, along with examples of the HOSTS program implementation.
Since 1971, HOSTS Learning solutions have helped over one million students improve in reading and math an average of two grade levels in a single school year. More information is available on the HOSTS Web site.
