Cobb Health and Physical Education Teachers Honored at State Level

Four of the District’s Health and Physical Education teachers recently won state honors from the Georgia Association for Health, Physical Education and Dance. Stephanye Peek of Blackwell Elementary School was selected as Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year. Lyn Savu of Pine Mountain Middle was chosen as Secondary Health Education Teacher of the Year. Kristin Cross of Sprayberry High was selected as Secondary Physical Education Teacher of the Year. Salice Russom of Ford Elementary was also recognized as state winner for coordinating the most successful Jump Rope for Heart campaign.

These teachers are leading the way in getting kids active and thinking about their health and well-being.
