Brumby ES Student Sends ‘Touch of Love’ to Children Battling Cancer

Touch of Love-S. Lopez

Eleven-year-old Samantha Lopez ‘hearts’ helping others. The 5th grade student Brumby Elementary School is collecting blankets for children battling cancer in local hospitals. Lopez says she wants the children to have something special while they recover from surgeries and treatments. She calls her campaign “A Touch of Love,” and sees the effort as a way to make a positive contribution to her community. Lopez organized the campaign and is asking teachers and students at Brumby to donate blankets that will be delivered to children at the end of the school year.
