L to R: KMHS students Brooke Robinson, Abbey Zajac and Sarah Gunter joined FOX 5’s “Good Day Atlanta” this morning for a segment about their organization “Becca’s Closet.”

A Kennesaw Mountain High School student organization was featured on FOX 5 Atlanta’s morning show, “Good Day Atlanta” this morning. The segments focused on “Becca’s Closet,” an organization run by more than 40 KMHS students that collects formal dresses to be used by high school students without the financial means to afford a dress for formal high school events.

Students started the organization in memory of Rebecca Kirtman, a Florida teen who was killed in an automobile accident in 2003. Rebecca collected more than 250 dresses during her sophomore year of high school for girls who could not afford formal dresses for the school’s prom.
