Superintendent Chris Ragsdale welcomed guests to the Leaders and Legends Ball by reminding the crowd of the District’s success in staying focused on teamwork to support students in reaching their goals and dreams. Ragsdale is Honorary Chairman of the event, and co-chairs with Ji Hyun Kim who has worked with businesses that support Cobb County Schools for nearly two decades.
Outstanding alumni and individuals who have made a significant contribution to Cobb Schools were honored at the third annual Leaders and Legends Ball. The fundraising event for the Cobb Schools Foundation was presented by Cisco.
The evening recognized the significant educational contributions of the leaders being honored: Governor Roy Barnes, former CCSD Superintendent Fred Sanderson, Kennesaw State University President Emeritus Betty Siegel, past Executive Director of The Strand Theatre and educator, Earl Reece and radio personality Ryan Cameron.
ComPAny provided entertainment under the direction of Frank Timmerman. The group is made up of students with The Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts at Pebblebrook High School.
The Cobb Schools Foundation supports teaching and learning in the Cobb County School District. Since its inception in 1999, the Foundation has been gifting and supporting Cobb staff, students and schools.
