Big Shanty Intermediate Named Georgia Green Ribbon School

Big Shanty Teacher Jamee Douglas traveled to the State Capitol to accept the Green Ribbon Award on behalf of Big Shanty ES.

Big Shanty Intermediate School is a Georgia Green Ribbon School, so named by Lt. Governor Casey Cagle. Big Shanty was one of only two schools in the state recognized as a Green Ribbon School this year.

Big Shanty Intermediate is also the second Cobb School to be awarded Green Ribbon honors, joining Ford Elementary, who was named a Green Ribbon School in 2011.
